Hi! I’m Jess.
How’d I end up here apart from loving to take pictures of my kids? I’ve faced some hurdles as many parents do and it’s led me to be exactly where I belong. I explain it here in My Story, how my journey of becoming a parent changed me.
I love supporting parents by sharing challenges and experiences (funny and the bad) and care deeply about their parenting journey being a positive one. Part of this passion led me to interview Sheyne Rowley, the woman dubbed “The Australian Baby Whisperer”. You may have spotted Sheyne making a guest appearance on T.V – she’s been on Channel 7’s Sunrise, Mornings with Kerri-Anne and ABC’s 7.30 report just to name a few. She is also the author of the ‘Dream Baby Guide’ book. The book is credited with changing the lives of many a struggling parents and has largely contributed to her celebrity status.
I’ve undertaken many newborn workshops from internationally recognised newborn photographers, not only to create stunning works of art for your wall, but most importantly ensuring the safety of your newborn and a safe environment.
I follow my poor kids around with the camera (they love it really!), hoping to photograph every cute little moment. My Kids are the reason I ended up pursuing photography more passionately. I’m married to a guy that can do just about anything and he’s my bestie.
I struggle with how fast time seems to fly by. That’s one of the reasons I love photography so much. It lets me capture memories and moments that whiz by. So when clients tell me ‘I just want to get some portraits done before she loses those chubby cheeks,’ I get it!
What clients say…
I love watching movies and cry watching kids shows. Nothing better than just chilling on the couch, snuggled under a blanket, eating junk and doing nothing…
I once threw a hair brush at my husband for ‘pretending’ to throw a huntsman at me!
When I was 12, my chook broke its leg . So I put it in a plaster cast and can you believe it healed?
I did the ‘robot dance’ at a New Years festival and drew a circle of spectators… I’ll never live that one down!
I’ve hid in the car from my kids to eat chocolate cake mix all ALONE like a desperado.
If I could order a plate of just pork crackling with apple sauce I would so do that!
I’m a homebody, and love spending time with family and friends. And of course sharing the challenges of parenting as they bring laughter and a sense of normality.
I’m based in Camperdown Victoria and service families in the Colac, Camperdown, Warrnambool and surrounding areas.
